Nu You Beauty Collection was created to empower women and young girls to gain self-confidence.

Shantel Payne, owner and visionary of Nu You Beauty Collection, has had a passion for cosmetology since high school. She took courses through a school program her junior and senior year to learn more about the hair industry. Her senior year, before taking the state licensing exam, Shantel’s husband became ill while overseas active in the military. Shantel completed school, but unfortunately, she couldn’t take the state exam so she could travel to Korea to be with her husband.

Now, the mother of three beautiful young girls and one handsome son, Shantel has hair in her house to be done…lots. Shantel switches the hair styles on her children weekly. Her girls wear braids and various styles to give them different looks inspiring them to embrace their beauty.

Hair is everything in our community. We change hair to be different… to be creative… to be different… and to be expressive. Thus, Nu You Beauty Collection began.
